Princess Love Shares Insights on Her Past Relationship With Floyd Mayweather

In an exclusive interview released by Carlos King on January 21, Love took to YouTube to discuss her experiences. Approximately 14 minutes into the interview, she opened up about how she entered the entertainment industry largely through her relationship with Mayweather. Love described their initial connection as platonic, which later blossomed into a romantic relationship, emphasizing the evolution of their bond.

Moreover, she reflected on the intimate moments they shared, stating, “The Floyd that I know was the Floyd that didn’t have access to all these crazy things — like, I got to know Floyd when he was at his most vulnerable time.” This vulnerability marked the beginning of her feelings for him, but she later realized that their relationship transformed once he regained his freedom.

Despite the initial excitement, Love admitted that she began to feel uneasy as she noticed many other women surrounding Mayweather. This growing discomfort led her to reevaluate their relationship, and she stated, “and that’s when the truth came out.”

“‘I can have as many women as I can afford,’” Love recalled Mayweather allegedly saying to her. “And he didn’t lie about it, so I couldn’t do nothing but respect it.”

Ultimately, Love expressed that she desired to start a family, a goal that Mayweather was not aligned with at the time. This fundamental difference in their life goals contributed to her growing dissatisfaction in the relationship. As fate would have it, she soon crossed paths with Ray J, who shared her vision for the future.

Nonetheless, Love spoke fondly of Mayweather, stating that he remains “one of the best people” she’s ever encountered, despite their differences.

As reported by The Shade Room, Love announced in February 2024 that she and Ray J had decided to divorce for the fourth time. Subsequently, Ray responded to her divorce filing, requesting shared legal and physical custody of their two children.

Earlier this month, Ray confirmed that he and Love are now legally separated. He further mentioned that “sometimes” she expresses a desire to end things completely, but he remains hopeful and wishes to stay married, as highlighted by The Shade Room.

During her conversation with King, Love elaborated on her feelings about moving on from her relationship with Ray, acknowledging her commitment to the divorce process. “I feel like this time is different from other times because this time, I didn’t do it out of anger,” she explained. “I was in a place in my life to where I was like, ‘All these dudes, they all lie [so] I might as well be with the father of my kids.’ But I’m like, no, I don’t deserve that. I deserve to be happy, and if being happy is by myself, then so be it.”

Ultimately, Love conveyed that she and Ray “live two totally different lifestyles” and described their relationship as akin to “roommates” or an open marriage, emphasizing the disconnect that led to her decision.
