While characters like Wolverine and Cyclops often dominate the screen time in X-Men: The Animated Series, they pale in comparison to the true powerhouse of the team, Ororo Munroe, widely known as Storm. Proteus isn’t exactly a typical villain; he embodies the essence of a lost and tormented child struggling with overwhelming powers. Even with his lack of experience, he poses a significant challenge to the X-Men during his two-part arc. His ability to traverse minds makes him a formidable foe, and when faced in the physical realm, he can unleash his powerful energy form to defend himself. Thankfully, Proteus did not harbor any further malicious intentions.
