As per usual, Richard Quinn injected a strong dose of couture-esque glamour into London Fashion Week. On day three of the 5-day event, the London-born Central Saint Martins graduate, who established his eponymous label in 2016, reflected on the ritual of dressing by creating his own “Mirrored Garden” paradise. The designer brought to the runway none other than supermodel Helena Christen, who closed out the spectacle showcasing an elaborate gown featuring intricate floral embellishments. ’80s hyper-glamour reigned supreme throughout Quinn’s lineup. All of Quinn’s signatures were on fine display. Think floor-skimming gowns in vivid florals, rich satins, sequins, lace, and Swarovski embellishments. Looks were often finished with exaggerated sleeves, fitted waists, or a dramatic train – a theatrical elegance that is now part of his DNA.
Richard Quinn Spring 2027 Collection Review
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“Does this guy do any work all year, or does he just have a warehouse somewhere full of the same 30 dresses to show every season?” [HazJW]
“Same stuff every season.” [Simera]
“Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel.” [rowjellies]
“He still keeps auditioning for Chanel, just in case Blazy is out…” [jeanclaude]
“He is London’s Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad. It’s not ugly, it’s just insanely boring season after season. Clearly someone big is still backing him?” [TomBlanksFullFatMiuMiu]
“I’m able to agree with the sentiment that Quinn’s collections are starting to blend into one, but the sight of unapologetic couture-esque glamour during London Fashion Week always feels like a breath of fresh air. It’s so refreshing, and I always look forward to a Richard Quinn collection during the dreary LFW. This season is no exception. There are some undeniably gorgeous looks here!” [vogue28]
