Robert Pattinson and Zendaya‘s latest project is headed to streaming following its theatrical run earlier this year. Released by A24, The Drama sparked mixed reactions from audiences while earning largely positive reviews from critics. Now, the romantic drama is set to make its streaming debut on HBO Max later this month.

Robert Pattinson and Zendaya’s The Drama is set to begin streaming on HBO Max this month. According to a Warner Bros. Discovery press release, the film will debut on the platform on July 31, 2026, arriving between The Odyssey and Dune 3.
Written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli, The Drama was released in U.S. theaters by A24 on April 3, 2026. The film follows Charlie and Emma, an engaged couple whose relationship begins to unravel just days before their wedding. During a rehearsal dinner with their closest friends, the group plays a game in which everyone must reveal the worst thing they have ever done.
However, the lighthearted evening quickly spirals when Emma’s confession exposes a long-buried secret, leaving Charlie questioning everything he thought he knew about their relationship. As the wedding draws closer, the revelation fuels suspicion, insecurity, and emotional turmoil, forcing the couple to confront whether they can move forward together.
Zendaya and Pattinson lead the cast as Emma Harwood and Charlie Thompson, respectively. Others include Alana Haim as Rachel, Mamoudou Athie as Mike, Hailey Benton Gates as Misha, and Sydney Lemmon as Pauline, among many more.
The Drama was well received by critics following its release. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds a 76 percent critics’ score based on 291 reviews. Meanwhile, audiences have responded slightly more favorably, giving it a 78 percent audience score.
According to Box Office Mojo, The Drama earned more than $131 million at the global box office. This includes approximately $48 million from domestic theaters and nearly $84 million from international territories.
