RuPaul Retiring From Drag Race? Michelle Visage Weighs In

Michelle Visage has one thing to say about RuPaul‘s future on Drag Race.

The Jersey native got candid about speculation that RuPaul—who created the 18-season competition show on which Michelle has served as a longstanding judge—might be relinquishing her crown as the series’ host since 2009.

“There’s absolutely no end to RuPaul at all,” Michelle exclusively told E! News during an interview about her ViiV Healthcare partnership. “She ain’t going anywhere, honey, and neither am I. So we can stop that rumor right now. Trust Mother.”

And even in the future, the Seduction singer doesn’t think there’s anyone who could step into RuPaul’s glittery heels.

“I don’t think Ru will ever retire. She actually comes to life and loves doing what we do,” Michelle explained. “This is the house that Ru built, and nobody, with all due respect to our hosts, including myself, around the world—nobody does it quite like Mama Ru.”

And it’s Michelle’s admiration for the drag icon, as well as their “deep, profound love for one another,” that keeps her coming back year after year.
