Florence Pugh knows how to make an entrance, and her latest look proves it once again. The actress stepped out for the “East of Eden” photocall in a sheer, ruffled ensemble that instantly became a talking point. Between the dramatic neckline and sweeping silhouette, Florence Pugh’s see-through pleated top feels entirely in line with her fearless approach to fashion.
Florence Pugh’s pleated Rodarte top is as see-through as it gets at ‘East of Eden’ photocall
The look, shared by RODARTE’s official Instagram, confirmed that Pugh wore pieces from the label’s FW19. She donned the Iridescent Pleated Blouse and Pants for the London screening of her miniseries. The blouse featured a voluminous, ruffled high neck that cascaded down in sheer, shimmering pleats. Its translucent fabric caught the light with every movement. Underneath, the sheerness of the top was unmistakable, giving the entire outfit a structured feel.
Paired with the blouse were wide-legged black pleated trousers. A bold “RODARTE” branded belt cinched at the waist anchored the otherwise airy silhouette. Florence Pugh’s Rodarte moment seamlessly balanced structure with softness, letting the dramatic collar take centre stage.
The accessories were minimal but intentional. Pugh wore Bvlgari’s gold Tubogas Earrings, a subtle nod to the overall vintage-inspired outfit. According to Celeb Style Radar, Rebecca Corbin-Murray styled the look for the occasion. Pugh’s hair was swept back into a sleek, voluminous updo, while her makeup leaned classic, featuring winged eyeliner and a soft, neutral lip that let the exaggerated collar do the talking. Her makeup was done by Alex Babsky, while her hair was styled by Hyungsun Ju.
Florence Pugh’s “East of Eden” photocall marks the promotional run for her Netflix miniseries adaptation of John Steinbeck’s novel, which she also co-produces. The series will be out on Netflix on October 1.
