Sepultura Celebrate Their Career at the Final Show

Sepultura’s final show took place on Nov. 7 at Suhai Music Hall in São Paulo, Brazil, bringing the band’s Celebrating Life Through Death tour to a close. The 32-song concert featured career-spanning selections, returning tracks and guest appearances; this account covers the final setlist and the musicians who joined the band.

What Did Sepultura Play, and Who Joined Them?

Sepultura’s final concert setlist contained 32 songs, compared with roughly two dozen songs at previous shows on the tour, according to setlist.fm. The performance followed opening sets by Metal Allegiance, Sacred Reich and Krisiun.

Career-spanning songs included “Territory,” “Roots Bloody Roots” and “Kairos.” Fan favorites “Refuse/Resist” and “Arise” also featured, alongside “Dead Embryonic Cells,” “Means to an End,” “Against” and “Ratamahatta.”

The final setlist represented almost every Sepultura studio album, from 1986’s Morbid Visions through 2020’s Quadra. The band did not play “Sacred Books,” the one track missing for a complete performance of 2026’s The Cloud of Unknowing EP.

Rarely performed songs and guest musicians made the concert distinct from a standard tour set. Several songs returned after years away from the stage, and guest players joined Sepultura for selected tracks.

According to setlist.fm, Sepultura performed “Altered State” for the first time since 2013, “We’ve Lost You!” for the first time since 2015, “Itsári” for the first time since 1998, “Reza” for the first time since 2005 and “Crucificados Pelo Sistema” for the first time since 2013.

Guest appearances included Chained Saint members Ethan Kahn and Sean Sterling on “Propaganda,” and Allan Wallace of Eminence on “Dusted.” Yohan Kisser, lead guitarist Andreas Kisser’s son, joined the band for “Convicted in Life,” while Krisiun guitarist Moyses Kolesne played on “Itsári” and “Kaiowas.” Amilcar Christofaro of Tortured Squad played drums on “Beneath the Remains,” and former member Jairo Guedz joined for several songs.

What Else Is Known About Sepultura’s Final Show?

Sepultura announced the final concert’s date and location in May, after the band’s final North American tour earlier that year, as Loudwire reported at the time. The show was initially scheduled for Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu, also in São Paulo, before moving to Suhai Music Hall.

Sepultura’s final lineup featured Andreas Kisser, drummer Greyson Nekrutman, bassist and backing vocalist Paulo Jr. and lead vocalist Derrick Green. Former guitarist Jairo Guedz also joined them onstage. Former drummer Jean Dolabella was reportedly expected to attend, but apparently did not perform with the band.
