Alex Terrible of Slaughter to Prevail has reiterated his support for one of the newly announced opening acts on their upcoming tour, following some fans expressing discontent over the association with his band.
This week, Slaughter to Prevail revealed a fall tour that will feature support from DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia and Rev3rent, with the latter act reportedly facing negative feedback online after joining the tour.
“This actually bums me out so much. Rev3rent should know better. They are looking for quick growth but doing it in the wrong way. Getting new fans but not the fans you want,” commented one person on the Instagram post about the tour. “Tells you everything you need to know about [Rev3rent] lmao,” added another. A third user remarked, “Would prefer rev3rent doesn’t perform with Nazis.” “Welp there goes the Rev hype,” noted yet another.
This isn’t the first time Alex Terrible has encountered controversy due to a contentious tattoo, which he has since covered up (more details on that further down the page).
What Did Alex Terrible Say About the Backlash Toward Rev3rent?
Shortly after the tour announcement, Slaughter to Prevail’s frontman Alex Terrible shared his thoughts regarding the situation.
In a social media post, he stated, “I remember there was a time when we toured by ourselves and people kept complaining that we didn’t have an opening band. So we started inviting support acts and every single time the same thing happens. Fans of those bands start calling us Nazis and say they don’t want to see their favorite bands touring with us.”

He continued, “That’s why, personally, it’s much easier for me to tour alone, without any support acts, so they don’t have to deal with the backlash or damage to their reputation. I don’t want to hurt anyone’s reputation. So if @rev3rent_ decides not to be part of this tour, I’ll completely understand and wish them nothing but the best. I genuinely like their music and I believe they have a bright future ahead of them.”
He concluded, “As for us—a band from Russia with a bad reputation — we’ll keep walking our own difficult path. At least it’s never boring.”
Currently, the band remains on the bill despite the backlash.
What Has Alex Terrible Said in the Past About Backlash to Other Bands Who Tour With Them?
This situation may seem familiar as it occurred back in 2025 when Slaughter to Prevail announced plans for an early 2026 European tour featuring Suicide Silence and Dying Fetus as support acts. According to Terrible, both bands received “hate messages” due to their involvement in Slaughter to Prevail’s European run.
“They’re mad about our own headline tour,” Terrible remarked at that time. “Listen, I grew up with Suicide Silence’s music and never imagined they would open for my band. To be honest, I still don’t know how to react to this and personally, I prefer touring without any support bands. Just us.”
He added, “We have done it many times already and we sell out large venues, which is very good. But people always complained it was just us and they wanted more. Well, our team worked it out and asked great bands to tour with us and now people complain that this band is touring with us because of us on our own tour.”
Why Are People Calling Out Support Bands for Slaughter to Prevail?
Terrible’s past associations with far-right groups and his black sun tattoo have raised concerns previously. In April 2024, he addressed some of these issues during an appearance on the No Jumper podcast.
The Black Sun is a symbol popularized in Nazi Germany; while Terrible acknowledged this fact, he claimed he got the tattoo due to an interest in “esoteric and fucking philosophy stuff” at one point.
He also mentioned some individuals he used to associate with in Russia who began engaging in “gang shit” and other illicit activities.
“I was hanging out with these guys who were obviously right-wing. But it’s not like Nazis or fucking racists; they just do this stuff,” he said. “Some of them are fucking racist; all this shit—I don’t give a fuck. Fair enough to them; I don’t judge people; I don’t give a shit,” he stated.
He admitted that later on, he realized that lifestyle wasn’t beneficial for him or his career and assured that he has changed since those days.
Terrible has also faced accusations of making anti-trans comments and other controversial statements previously.
