Jenna Ortega brought a decidedly romantic edge to the red carpet for her latest film premiere. The actress stepped out at the 70th BFI London Film Festival for “Klara and the Sun,” immediately commanding attention with her striking look. This time, rich color and intricate detailing did most of the talking.
Jenna Ortega’s slinky Torlowei dress gets a lacy twist for BFI London Film Festival
For the occasion, Jenna Ortega wore a custom Tokoni slipdress by Torlowei, crafted from honey-colored silk satin. The floor-length number skimmed closely over her figure before pooling slightly around her feet, giving the classic slip silhouette an elevated red-carpet finish.
The real drama, however, came from the contrasting black lace. Delicate leaf-patterned lace framed the scooped neckline and extended across the bust, with intricate appliqués appearing to crawl over the golden satin. More scattered black lace motifs continued down the body and toward the hem.
From the side, Jenna Ortega’s Torlowei creation became even more daring. The sleeveless dress dipped extremely low beneath her arms, leaving much of her sides and back exposed, while the delicate lace detailing helped frame the barely-there construction. The silky fabric fell fluidly from the waist, creating an effortless effect as she walked the carpet.
Torlowei confirmed that the custom Tokoni slipdress featured black Leavers lace. Ortega also wore the brand’s Aysha Leavers lace cap in mustard, adding an unexpected vintage-inspired finishing touch to her look. The actress wore her dark hair in long, polished waves beneath the lace headpiece and kept her jewelry minimal. She completed the ensemble with black Christian Louboutin Cassia pumps, as noted by Celeb Style Radar on Instagram.
Ortega attended and posed in front of a blue backdrop alongside her co-stars. Against the bright red carpet, the combination of liquid-like honey satin and intricate black lace made her custom gown particularly hard to miss.
