Slipknot seems to have launched a new webpage, prompting numerous questions from their fans about the band’s current activities.
What Happens When You Sign Up on Slipknot’s Site?
The landing page at unlock.slipknot1.com is a straightforward sign-up page that requests users to provide their email, first name, city, and zip code. It also includes a message indicating that by signing up, users agree to “receive personalized updates and marketing messages about Slipknot.”
However, there is no information regarding what exactly users are signing up for.
After signing up, users are redirected to a second page featuring Slipknot’s logo engulfed in flames. This page includes what appears to be the date of Sept. 28. Additionally, a separate number at the bottom of the screen, which has been increasing since the page was launched, likely represents the total number of sign-ups.

What Is Flashing on Slipknot’s Website?
If you remain on the site long enough after signing up, you will notice two quick flashes of an image appearing on the screen, replacing the black background. The exact nature of this occurrence remains unclear without slowing down the clip.
It seems that two video clips are playing simultaneously: one featuring the burning logo and another for the background and image flash.
Loudwire utilized picture-in-picture mode to isolate the background video on the site and examined the clip frame by frame. Here’s what was observed when the image flashed on the screen:

Is Slipknot Releasing New Music on Sept. 28?
There are two possible scenarios regarding what Slipknot may announce on Sept. 28, based on hints shared online so far.
One possibility is new music. Slipknot released “Arsenal“, their first song featuring new drummer Eloy Casagrande, on Sept. 9. This marked their first new music since parting ways with turntablist Sid Wilson and sampler/keyboardist Craig Jones.
No announcements were made regarding an upcoming album at that time.
Guitarist Jim Root further clarified days later when responding to a question on social media about whether “Arsenal” would be included in a new Slipknot album.
“No. This was just one we could finish ‘sooner’ to get out there,” Root stated.
