The cast of Perfect Match did not notice any warning signs with the winning couple.
During the season four finale, released on Netflix on May 27, Sophie Willett and Dave Hand were voted the most compatible couple from their time in Mexico.
“I said I wanted a red flag, and he definitely looks like a red flag,” Sophie shared in the episode, “but he’s the greenest flag of them all and he’s mine.”
Host Nick Lachey announced that the pair earned a “free honeymoon of sorts” with a special vacation for just the two of them.
“We just want somewhere hot where we can both be little water babies,” Sophie said, with Dave quipping that he was hoping for a “comfortable bed and other activities.”
Sophie—who appeared on Love Is Blind UK last year—joked, “Like snorkeling.”
However, the couple bonded over more than just their physical connection and love for the tropics.
“I just want to thank Dave, because he let me feel safe in a space that I haven’t had in such a long time,” Sophie told the cast in the finale. “He makes me laugh, but he makes me feel safe, and I think that’s very sacred.”
