Before this remarkable weekend, Roth’s last public performance took place as the opening act for Kiss in March 2020. Following that show, he announced his retirement in late 2021, just before he was scheduled to start a highly anticipated Las Vegas residency. During the M3 Festival, Roth humorously remarked, “We’ve reached the end of my first retirement,” referencing the multiple comebacks of the fictional character Rocky. His lighthearted comment resonated with the audience, highlighting his enduring passion for music and live performance.
