Violence Rising Across Kid Birthday Parties
Unfortunately, incidents like this are becoming increasingly common. Just weeks before the Sweet 16 shooting in Brooklyn, Stockton was shaken by another tragic event at a family birthday celebration. A banquet hall near Lucile Avenue was the site of a deadly attack, resulting in 14 injuries and four confirmed deaths. Early reports suggest it may have been a targeted attack, although authorities are exploring all possibilities. Stockton’s Vice Mayor Jason Lee expressed heartfelt messages on social media, offering prayers to the families and children affected while urging anyone with information or footage to come forward. The city, much like Brooklyn, is dealing with trauma and seeking answers.
