“Everyone assumes I married a wealthy man,” Gertz shared with The Hollywood Reporter in 2018 regarding her 1989 marriage to the financier. “However, I earned more money—much more—than Tony when I first met him. I financed our first house. I covered our first vacation.”
She affirmed, “I married him because I fell in love with him.”
