Peacock revealed the release date and first official image for the upcoming thriller series starring Rose Byrne. The streamer officially confirmed the limited drama series will arrive later this year while teasing a tense story centered on family, violence, and long-buried secrets.
The Good Daughter sets Peacock Release Date for November
Peacock confirmed on May 11 through an official press release that The Good Daughter will premiere on November 12, 2026.
Meanwhile, the streamer also released a first-look image alongside the announcement. The series stars Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy in leading roles. Additionally, Peacock later repeated the release date in a social media post promoting the project.
The Good Daughter follows sisters Charlotte and Samantha Quinn after a violent tragedy shattered their family years earlier. However, another attack strikes Pikeville and places Charlotte at the center of a new investigation.
Meanwhile, Peacock described the series as “a suspenseful thriller wrapped in a deeply emotional story about love, family, and resilience.” The limited drama consists of six episodes running 60 minutes each. The story also explores buried secrets and strained relationships connected to the Quinn family’s painful past.
Additionally, the cast also includes Brendan Gleeson, Olivia Williams, Harper Steele, Michael Dorman, Audrey Grace Marshall, and Drew Cheek. Karin Slaughter serves as showrunner and writer for all episodes. Steph Green directed and executive produced every episode. Made Up Stories produced the project in partnership with Fifth Season.
Furthermore, the official synopsis states that Charlotte and Samantha have spent years rebuilding lives damaged by “a single night of violence.” Charlotte, now a lawyer like her father, becomes “the first witness on the scene” after another attack devastates Pikeville. Peacock stated that the story explores “enduring ties between a father and his daughters – and the complex bond between sisters.”
