Tinx Addresses ‘Hotter in the Hamptons’ Ghostwriter Claims

Christina “Tinx” Najjar is actively addressing the swirling online speculation surrounding her upcoming work.

As anticipation builds for the release of her debut novel, Hotter in the Hamptons, set for May, the self-described “Big Sister” of TikTok has responded to claims suggesting that she may not have authored the fiction book herself.

“What if someone else wrote it?” questioned one user during an April 2 TikTok clip, raising eyebrows about the authenticity of authorship. “What if the real author was never acknowledged? What if they were hired to remain behind the scenes? What does this imply about capitalism and creativity when we’ve normalized ghostwriting for the sake of convenience, content, and clout?”

The user accompanied their commentary with a screen recording showcasing the personal website of writer and former Nylon editor-in-chief Gabrielle Korn, which categorizes Tinx’s book under the Ghostwriting section of her Manuscript Services page.

In light of these allegations, Tinx shared her perspective on the matter, clarifying that the novel centers around a romantic narrative involving two women.

“Of course I hired a collaborator who identifies as queer,” Tinx remarked in response to the video. “I am not a lesbian. I wanted to authentically portray that aspect of the storyline.”
