Olandria Carthen has delivered yet another bold look, styling a $1,990 Tom Ford top as a dress with a waist-high slit. The “Love Island” alum-turned-fashion icon took to her official Instagram page on July 25 to share a carousel of photos in the daring ensemble.
Olandria Carthen’s dress with a waist-high slit is actually a Tom Ford jersey top
Olandria Carthen styled the Tom Ford Asymmetric Draped Crêpe Jersey Top in orange as a high-drama gown. Crafted from fluid jersey, the piece featured a modest, clean-cut crew neckline. The daring high slit that opened up past the hip line provided a bold contrast to the neckline.
It completely exposed one side of her leg and hip, while the fabric hugged her curves on the other side. Further, the fluid jersey fabric cinched and gathered across the midsection. It flowed in dynamic, asymmetric drapes down the back and trailing floor-length paneling that created fluid movement with every angle.
On her feet, Carthen wore the Tom Ford Laminated Nappa Leather Padlock Pointy Naked Sandals. Crafted in metallic gold nappa leather, the $1,420 sandals featured delicate narrow toe straps, a pointed footbed, an 85 mm stiletto heel, and thin ankle straps decorated with the brand’s signature hanging lock-and-key metallic padlock hardware. The metallic sheen of the gold leather complemented the warm, electric tone of the orange jersey garment while elongating the leg line.
Styled by her longtime collaborators, Matthew and Reginald Reisman, she accessorized with jewelry from Alexis Bittar. Thick gold bracelets adorned one wrist. She was also sporting several rings and a pair of chunky gold earrings. All the gold jewelry perfectly echoed the gold-tone hardware of her heels.
Her dark hair was styled in waist-length, wet-look, featuring braids with a center part. Her beauty look highlighted her stunning features with glowing skin, soft berry-pink blush on the cheeks, a smoky eye, and a high-shine glossy lip.
