Trousers for All-Day Comfort

Key Takeaways

  • Outfit versatility: The Liberowe Dress can be styled as a jacket for various occasions.
  • Seasonal transition: Trousers are essential for adapting to changing temperatures.
  • Fabric choice: Silk and dramatic shapes are favored during this time of year.
  • Evening wear: Trousers with metallic sheens or beaded motifs are perfect for dinner outings.

Outfit Details: Liberowe Dress (worn as jacket), Saint Laurent Tank (old, similar here, less expensive here), Alemais Pants, Dior Heels, Chanel Bag, Dior Sunglasses

In this stretch of shifting weather, trousers are where nearly every outfit of mine begins. The days are still warm, but evening temperatures drop, and I want styles with enough presence to carry me through both. It’s also the time of year when I start stepping away from linen and lighter fabrics and gravitating toward silk, especially in saturated shades, festive prints, and more dramatic shapes.

I love how easily one pair can move through different parts of the day. In the morning, I like a silk taffeta style with a simple knit. Later on, a longer jacket takes the silhouette into the evening, and if the trousers have a slight metallic sheen or beaded motifs, they’re already doing the work by dinner. It’s why they’ve become such a big part of my wardrobe this season.
