Arie Luyendyk Jr. is undergoing vasectomies once again.
The star of Bachelor Nation had his second procedure two years after reversing the first one to welcome another child with his wife Lauren Burnham, with whom he has a daughter Alessi, 7, twins Senna and Lux, both 5, and a 10-month-old baby girl Livvy.
As he captioned an Instagram Story on Aug. 14 showing himself giving a thumbs up, “Today’s a good day to get a vasectomy.”
However, unlike his first experience, Luyendyk Jr. is approaching this differently by not having Burnham—whom he married in 2019 after meeting her on his season of The Bachelor—in the room during the procedure.
“I’m going at it alone this time,” he explained. “The first time was a little traumatic, and Lauren being there felt weird.”
“The second time, when I got the reversal, I was out cold,” the 44-year-old continued. “Now this time, I’ve gone to a new doctor who uses laughing gas, so I’m hoping this goes a little smoother.”
He added, “But honestly, I can’t complain. This doesn’t hold a candle to giving birth.”
