Wind of Change will vividly depict the extraordinary ascent of Scorpions to global stardom while emphasizing their pursuit of universal harmony. Central to the narrative is the iconic ballad “Wind of Change,” which stands as the band’s most significant international success. The inspiration behind this powerful song was sparked when Meine and his bandmates performed for an audience of 300,000 at the momentous 1989 Moscow Music Peace Festival, witnessing firsthand the transformative political shifts as the Cold War came to a close.

This compelling film is directed by Alex Ranarivelo and is produced by ESX Entertainment in collaboration with Fox Entertainment Studios and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. Currently, filming is taking place in London, with the film slated for a theatrical release across the United States in 2025.

In a recent press release, ESX Entertainment founder and president Ali Afshar expressed his heartfelt sentiments: “Developing this film has been an incredible journey, and bringing it to life feels surreal. The music of the Scorpions served as a source of strength for me during challenging times as an Iranian immigrant in America during the early 1980s. Their powerful message of love, peace, and rock ‘n’ roll resonates profoundly in today’s world. I am thrilled to have such an amazing ensemble of talented actors. I cannot thank Fox Entertainment and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment enough for their invaluable support, and especially the band members — Rudolf, Klaus, and Matthias — for their trust in us to narrate their inspiring life story.”
