Alyssa Farah Griffin discusses a former boss’ remark and its lasting impact

Alyssa Farah Griffin recently recounted a hurtful remark made by a former boss during Thursday’s episode, where she talked about experiences with critical supervisors. Griffin stated that her former boss insulted her intelligence.

Griffin chose not to disclose the identity of the individual but hinted that fans might be able to guess. She mentioned, “I had a boss — who will remain nameless, but may be a Fox News host — who once said to me, ‘Alyssa, you’re a pretty girl, you’re a nice girl, but you’re not bleep-ing smart.’” This comment has affected Griffin for years. “I will not say who it was, but y’all can guess,” she added.

Whoopi Goldberg remarked, “Don’t listen to the haters because you can do a better job of hating yourself than they can ever do. So you know if you’re okay or not. You don’t need to listen; they don’t know you and they don’t know anything about you.”

Before becoming a full-time cohost on The View in 2022, Griffin had previous work experience. She was part of Laura Ingraham’s radio program and worked on The Laura Ingraham Show from 2010-2011. She then continued to advance her political career.

Griffin later worked under Mike Pence and Donald Trump, eventually becoming the White House strategic communications director in 2020. She resigned from that role in December 2020 and has since openly criticized the Trump administration.

Griffin was not alone in sharing her experiences; Sara Haines also discussed one of her former bosses. Haines recounted how her boss doubted her hosting abilities, but that opinion changed when she secured an on-camera role at ABC. Her former boss later reached out to commend her.
