Amazon Prime Video has announced its new TV and movie releases for the week of July 27 to August 2, 2026, featuring Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2 and Primate.
Batman: Caped Crusader delves into the detective noir elements of the superhero genre. The series portrays a young Bruce Wayne as he navigates the early challenges of fighting crime. It boasts a talented voice cast including Hamish Linklater, Jason Watkins, Krystal Joy Brown, Eric Morgan Stuart, John DiMaggio, and Gary Anthony Williams, among others. The show has received favorable reviews, holding an IMDb rating of 7.2/10 and a 94% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
This season introduces Matthew Needham as the voice of the Joker. Additionally, Michelle C. Bonilla expressed her enthusiasm in April 2026 about reprising her role as Renee Montoya. “Yes, there’s a season two… and it’s getting all shiny and wrapped in a bow,” she shared with Nerdtropolis.
Bonilla also described her emotional reaction to viewing the early animation for Season 2: “I’m crying because it’s so beautiful… the colors and everything,” she remarked.
Also premiering on Prime Video is the natural horror film, Primate.
