Fallout 4 has captivated its community for over a decade, showcasing both original content and ambitious DLC that provide countless hours of entertainment. While the official releases are impressive, it is the fan-made mods that have truly extended the game’s lifespan.
Despite the controversy surrounding the Creation Club’s paid mod system, it offers a diverse range of content and allows creators to earn a living from their work.
If you haven’t yet explored it, one of the latest mods presents an original story worth diving into within the Fallout 4 universe.
Fallout 4: Beast Hunter Is Basically Free DLC
You can find the download page for Tale of the Beast Hunter on the official Fallout 4 Creations website. This mod, available on PC and Xbox, follows Troy Morton as he journeys from New Vegas to Boston, establishing his legacy as the “Beast Hunter”.
The extensive features of this mod highlight its ambition and have even earned it official endorsement from Bethesda:
- A 7-part holotape adventure revealing the legend of the Beast Hunter.
- A new Revolver Shotgun ‘Judge’ with impressive headshot damage bonuses and a choice of one of four playing cards that provide unique gun effects.
- The Beast Hunter’s outfit is available in two styles: one featuring ‘Lucky 38’ on the back and another adorned with Deathclaw trophies.
- Encounter Bessy, the Beast Hunter’s pet Deathclaw.
- Own ‘The Bar’, a player home that captures the essence of New Vegas.
The outfit is depicted in the image above, and the jacket stands out as one of the coolest clothing items in the game. Additionally, the new player home uniquely replicates the aesthetic that Obsidian created, now in higher fidelity.
This mod has already accumulated over 20 million plays on PC and Xbox since its launch in November last year, demonstrating its popularity among fans.
Fallout 4 Is Still Going Strong
With Bethesda unlikely to release a new Fallout game before 2030, it’s encouraging to see so many talented developers dedicated to keeping this title relevant. The continuous flow of new downloads indicates that interest remains strong.
