Blonde Hair Transformation Explained by Chloe Bailey

Chloe Bailey Shares What Inspired Her Unrecognizable Blonde Hair Transformation at BET Awards 2026

When it came to changing up her hair, Chloe Bailey simply thought, “Do it.”

After the Chloe x Halle singer arrived at the 2026 BET Awards on June 28 sporting a new blonde bombshell hairstyle, she explained what inspired the epic transformation.

“I’m just tired of being so serious about everything,” Chloe told E! News in an exclusive interview on the red carpet. “And I’ve been reading more comic books, and I just love how sexy and feminine and colorful the superheroes are in there.”

The 27-year-old—who also donned a strapless, silver-and-black Valdrin Sahiti dress—added, “I don’t want to stick to just one look, that’s boring.”

As for the comic book characters she feels most inspired by? She said, “Wonder Woman, Storm and Thor.”

Of course, Chloe doesn’t just fulfill her creativity with her fashion sense. Indeed, she and her sister Halle Bailey pursue music both together and separately.

“I’m so proud of us,” Chloe continued. “We’re just living out our dreams, and to know that we are breaking barriers and making history with the things that we are doing is pretty cool.”
