Don’t look up or you might miss Jennifer Lawrence’s brunette hair transformation.
The Oscar winner ditched her signature blonde locks as she stepped out in New York City on July 9, showcasing her darkest hair color in more than a decade.
For the outing, the 35-year-old—wearing a graphic T-shirt, oversized white trousers, brown sandals, and a red purse—swapped her naturally light tresses for brown hair that served as a callback to her Hunger Games era, styled in a tousled ponytail with face-framing bangs.
The brunette updo may stir up some nostalgia in film lovers. After all, the hairstyle is reminiscent of Lawrence’s onscreen look in the 2012 film Silver Linings Playbook, which earned her an Academy Award for her portrayal of Tiffany Maxwell opposite Bradley Cooper.
But her hair isn’t the only way she’s changing up her look. Indeed, Lawrence—mother to Cy, 4, and a second son born in 2025 with husband Cooke Maroney—previously shared insight into her plans to undergo surgery for a breast augmentation.
