Amelia Dimoldenberg is closing the chicken shop.
More than ten years after the debut of Chicken Shop Date, the journalist has confirmed that her YouTube series is officially concluding.
“When I was 17, I had a brilliant idea that I might meet the love of my life on a date in a chicken shop,” Dimoldenberg teased on Instagram on September 3. “I’ve spent my entire twenties sitting across from the most amazing people, individuals I had always dreamed of meeting. All of them charmed me (some more than others), and I definitely charmed them.”
After launching her interview series with the underground British rap scene in 2014, it was her viral date with Jack Harlow in 2021 that elevated her to prominence. She went on to converse with celebrities such as Andrew Garfield, Sabrina Carpenter, The Jonas Brothers, Matty Healy and Elmo.
“To me, the show is my very own romcom, and I have loved creating so many stories for you to enjoy,” she reflected. “I am so thankful to everyone who has followed me on this journey and found joy in these episodes.”
