The beloved couple has decided to part ways after an eight-year journey that began in 2017. Their relationship took a significant turn when they confirmed their engagement in March of this year, according to multiple sources who spoke with People magazine.
E! News has reached out for comments from representatives of both Chris and Dakota, but there has been no response as of yet.
The talented frontman of Coldplay shares two children, Apple Martin, who is 21 years old, and Moses Martin, aged 19, with his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow. The couple first sparked romance rumors in October 2017 when they were spotted enjoying a meal together at the trendy celebrity hotspot Sushi Park in Los Angeles.
Following their initial sighting, Chris and Dakota were frequently seen out together, with Dakota even attending one of Chris’s concerts in Buenos Aires, Argentina, during Coldplay’s Head Full of Dreams tour, solidifying their connection.
As their relationship blossomed, Dakota became a regular presence at Chris’s concerts, even accompanying him on tour. It wasn’t until January 2018, when her father, Don Johnson, seemingly confirmed their relationship in a public statement, that fans realized their romance was indeed serious.
