Dakota Johnson Becomes Marilyn Monroe in Flesh Impact Short Film

Melanie Griffith Offers One-Word Reaction to Daughter Dakota Johnson’s Romance With Role Model

Dakota Johnson’s hair is 50 shades lighter for her latest onscreen role.

The 36-year-old looked completely different for her transformation into Marilyn Monroe in the first look at the upcoming short film Flesh Impact.

In a photo shared alongside a press release for the film, which sees Johnson portray “Monroe at the height of her fame,” the Fifty Shades alum ditched her signature brunette hairdo for a curly blonde bob.

But it was her glam that pushed her transformation over the edge. Indeed, her Old Hollywood hair was paired with rosy pink lipstick, long lashes and Monroe’s signature beauty mark above her lip.

But Johnson isn’t the only star getting her looks overhauled in the film. After all, Ellen Burstyn is also set to play the 1950s icon, per the release, “as a version of Marilyn the world never had a chance to see.”

“A love letter to one of cinema’s most enduring icons,” the press release noted, “the film honors Marilyn Monroe’s singular power to challenge convention and captivate the world across generations.”
