“This is truly a dream tour for me. Literally.”
Chris Daughtry enthusiastically joined Loudwire Nights on Tuesday (Feb. 4) and expressed his genuine excitement about hitting the road alongside Disturbed for their monumental 25th-anniversary tour, which celebrates the iconic album The Sickness. The prospect of touring with such legendary artists has been a significant highlight for him, and he is eager to share this experience with fans and fellow musicians alike.

“I actually manifested this opportunity over a year ago,” Daughtry shared with host Chuck Armstrong. You can listen to the entire engaging conversation in the player located near the end of this article.
He recounted a vivid dream in which he found himself on stage with David [Draiman], indicating that they were clearly on tour together, performing nightly.
In this dream, he vividly remembered singing an unknown song that was unique to the experience.
“I can’t even describe the song; it wasn’t anything that existed,” he recalled. “It felt like a ballad, something extraordinary that no one had ever heard before. It was the greatest song that no one knows.” This imaginative moment left a lasting impression on Daughtry.
Upon waking, he immediately reached for his phone and texted Draiman about the potential for a tour and singing together, to which the Disturbed frontman responded, “Both of those things are possibilities.” This exchange ignited Daughtry’s anticipation for the collaboration.
As the months passed, Daughtry held onto that dream, persistently asking Draiman when Disturbed would embark on their next tour.
“I told him that we would love to support you, and it would be a tremendous honor,” he expressed, highlighting his admiration for the band.
“This discussion took place before we were aware of the 25th-anniversary tour ? that revelation was the icing on the cake. When we received the news, I can’t stress enough how ecstatic I was on the tour bus.” His enthusiasm for this opportunity is palpable.
In addition to joining Disturbed on this exciting journey, Daughtry is equally thrilled about sharing the stage with Nothing More, who will be opening the second leg of the tour.
“Not only are those guys my friends, but they’re also one of my favorite bands, and I am honestly a bit intimidated to follow their act,” Daughtry admitted with a laugh.
“Jonny [Hawkins] possesses that youthful energy, and he?s an incredible frontman, both vocally and physically.” His respect for his fellow artists shines through in his words.

Daughtry’s admiration for Hawkins and Nothing More is matched only by his respect for Draiman and Disturbed.
“Both of these frontmen possess vocal abilities that I genuinely envy,” he remarked. “As a fan, it’s going to be an absolute pleasure to witness their performances every night on stage.” His enthusiasm for the music and camaraderie among the artists is evident.
