Dior Men Welcomes Jonathan Anderson as New Creative Director

The fashion world has been buzzing with excitement and speculation, and it’s finally here: the official announcement that Jonathan Anderson has taken on the prestigious role of Creative Director at Dior Men. For several months, whispers and rumors circulated about the highly esteemed British designer stepping in to replace Maria Grazia Chiuri at Christian Dior. Today, during the annual shareholders’ meeting held by LVMH in Paris, Bernard Arnault confirmed that Anderson will be succeeding Kim Jones, who parted ways with the iconic French fashion house earlier this year in January. Notably, Anderson recently concluded a celebrated decade-long tenure as the Creative Director of Loewe. Come the Spring 2026 season during Menswear Paris Fashion Week in June, the London College of Fashion alum and our 2023 Designer of the Year will unveil his inaugural collection for Dior Men.

“Finally some movement!” [Salvatore]

“I really wish he could debut with a womenswear collection, but I’m thrilled they have finally made the announcement. I can’t wait to see what creative direction he takes!” [Creative]

“This feels like such an underwhelming announcement. Did Bernard only confirm it because a shareholder asked during a meeting? I can’t help but laugh!” [fashionmarketeditor]

“I can’t shake the feeling that there’s something troubling regarding MGC’s departure and Jonathan’s arrival, which is affecting how the announcement is being handled. This is so unlike LVMH to disclose their biggest news of the year so casually during a shareholder meeting.” [Marc10]

“I find it amusing how random the announcement was. I mean, it’s the worst-kept secret in the industry, and he’s already been working there. They probably didn’t bother issuing a formal press release because they are waiting for MCG to exit before making a proper appointment.” [Lola701]

“I’m genuinely happy for him to finally receive some recognition from the top, but the way they are managing this transition is just embarrassing.” [Olaffo]
