Marvel Studios may unintentionally reveal Avengers: Doomsday details before its release. The fifth Avengers film is scheduled to be released in December this year, where the titular heroes face off against Doctor Doom.
How could Avengers: Doomsday fans have early access to MCU spoilers?
Disney and Marvel have announced a new book titled From Endgame to Doomsday: A Marvel Studios Visual Dictionary: Avengers, Allies, and Foes. The book is described as a “visual dictionary” and includes details on “character profiles, locations, vehicles, weapons, and easter eggs” for everything that has appeared in the MCU since Avengers: Endgame. The Marvel companion book will be available for purchase starting November 10, 2026.
The book’s cover features Chris Evans’ Captain America alongside the Thunderbolts leader Yelena, Shuri’s Black Panther, and the Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Thing and Galactus. While the images are sourced from previous movies, the book may include details that will be significant for Avengers: Doomsday. This isn’t the first time Marvel has released a compendium covering everything in the MCU; previously, the Marvel Studios Visual Dictionary covered many elements of the franchise and was published before Endgame’s release.

The upcoming film reunites Steve Rogers with Thor, Sam Wilson’s Captain America, and the New Avengers. These groups will share the screen with the Fantastic Four and the original X-Men as they confront Doctor Doom. Recent rumors have also suggested a cameo from Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man, along with She-Hulk and an original founding member appearing in the film.
The Russo brothers, who are directing Doomsday, have hinted that the film will be directly connected to the previous Avengers finale more than fans anticipated. Marvel Studios plans to rerelease Avengers: Endgame in theaters with a new title and bonus scenes ahead of Doomsday this year.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
