Hulu has announced the return date for King of the Hill, with the animated comedy set to continue its revival next month. The streamer confirmed that Season 15 will premiere on July 20, with all 10 episodes becoming available on the same day. Previously, Hulu also unveiled a teaser poster along with the release date announcement.
The revival follows Hank and Peggy Hill after their return to Arlen, Texas, following years spent in Saudi Arabia working in the propane industry. Back home, they reconnect with longtime friends Dale, Bill, and Boomhauer, while Bobby pursues a career as a chef in Dallas. According to the official synopsis, “Hank and Peggy settle into retirement life on Rainey Street while attempting to keep their neighbors from going off the rails. Bobby navigates old friendships while dealing with the stresses of being an entrepreneur.”
According to Variety, several members of the original cast are returning for the new season. This includes Mike Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom, and Toby Huss. The series continues to be overseen by its original creative team. Co-creators Judge and Greg Daniels serve as executive producers, while Saladin Patterson returns as showrunner and executive producer. Michael Rotenberg, Howard Klein, Dustin Davis, and Norm Hiscock are also among the executive producers.
The revival’s first season proved to be a strong performer for Hulu. According to Disney, Season 14 generated 4.4 million views worldwide during its first week on the platform and earned a positive response from both critics and audiences. The series has already secured a two-season renewal, which will carry the franchise through Season 17.
