The ovens are shut down at The Bear. Well, metaphorically.

After five seasons, the FX show starring Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Liza Colón-Zayas, Lionel Boyce, and Abby Elliott has come to its official end. And while it seemed like Carmy’s culinary baby might not have a future—contending with floods, a broken oven, and the end of its funding—The Bear proved it’s got the chops (literally) to go the distance.

The restaurant is saved by what is ultimately a perfect storm of good fortune. Not only does the business plan that line cook Ebra (Edwin Lee Gibson) came up with about franchising The Beef set the team up for financial success, but, as it turns out, the calls that Carmy has been dodging all season were from an important caller: the real Star Man.

Indeed, while The Bear staff thought they were serving Star Man during the flooded service from hell, it turns out the real Star Man is a man named Peter Clark who actually dined at the restaurant months earlier unbeknownst to the team at the time. (Oops.)
