DreamWorks has unveiled a new trailer for the fantasy movie Forgotten Island, featuring a star-studded voice cast led by Grammy and Academy Award-winning artist H.E.R.
The official synopsis for Forgotten Island states, “While celebrating their last night together, Jo and Raissa stumble upon a mysterious portal that transports them to the fantastical island of Nakali, filled with magical and mythological creatures they grew up hearing stories about from their Filipino families.”

What do we see in the Forgotten Island trailer?
The Forgotten Island trailer showcases two high school best friends, Jo (voiced by H.E.R) and Raissa (voiced by Liza Soberano). After years together, they are on the brink of going their separate ways but decide to share one last adventure before parting. However, the best friends accidentally enter a magical portal that transports them to the Forgotten Island.
On the island, they encounter a hapless weredog named Raww (voiced by Dave Franco), who warns them that the place is dangerous and ruled by The Dreaded Manananggal (voiced by Lea Salonga), the most feared creature on the island who feeds on memories. Jo and Raissa then attempt to escape the island before it’s too late.
Forgotten Island is written and directed by Academy Award nominee Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado, with Mark Swift serving as producer. The fantasy animated movie had already released its initial trailer back in March.

The star-studded voice cast was announced last October, revealing that H.E.R. and Liza Soberano would be featured in the film. Other notable voice actors include Jenny Slate (Marcel the Shell with Shoes On), Manny Jacinto (The Good Place, Top Gun: Maverick), Dolly de Leon (Triangle of Sadness, Ghostlight), Jo Koy (Haunted Mansion, Jo Koy: Live from Brooklyn), and Ronny Chieng (The Daily Show, M3GAN).
Forgotten Island is set to hit theaters on September 25, 2026.
