While it’s been about a year since TV’s best World War II drama was renewed for a third run, a release date has yet to be announced. Still, it continues to gain even more followers, especially in the US, who are now contributing to its resurgence. From Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, this acclaimed series boasts an enviable 100% critics’ rating across its first two seasons on Rotten Tomatoes, a feat that would be even more extraordinary if it manages to maintain the perfect score in Season 3.
Having premiered on BBC One on October 30, 2022, SAS: Rogue Heroes depicts real war events as described by Ben Macintyre in his 2016 book of the same name. Season 2 premiered on January 1, 2025, on BBC One and eleven days later on MGM+ in the US. By September that year, SAS: Rogue Heroes was renewed for Season 3, which fans have since been eagerly awaiting. Ahead of the upcoming premiere, many viewers have taken to watching or rewatching the British war drama, now officially America’s favorite on MGM+, where it has consistently ranked in the top 10 over the past few days.
