According to Twitter/X, Invincible VS has confirmed that Agent Spider, a character reminiscent of Spider-Man, will join the fighting game’s roster this winter. Although he won’t be playable until Season 3, it’s exciting to know he will be part of Invincible‘s post-launch DLC, with winter 2026 just around the corner.
Agent Spider stands out as an intriguing character due to his clear parallels with Marvel’s Spider-Man, who has previously interacted with Mark Grayson’s Invincible in a crossover comic titled Marvel Team-Up. Additionally, Agent Spider is voiced by Josh Keaton, who portrays him in the animated series and is well-known for voicing Spider-Man in various projects, including the acclaimed Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon and the lesser-known video game Spider-Man: Edge of Time.
According to the DLC roadmap for Invincible VS, Agent Spider is set to be released in December along with new cosmetics, a new arena, quality-of-life updates, and a new Ranked season. Although Angstrom Levy is arriving today in Invincible VS, the announcement regarding Agent Spider may have overshadowed him somewhat. Recently, the marketing team for Invincible VS has been sharing gameplay tips for Angstrom Levy’s release, and fans can likely expect similar promotional content for Agent Spider when he launches in December.
A plethora of iconic characters from Invincible are still highly anticipated by fans for adaptation into Invincible VS. Interestingly, players will soon have a capable counterpart to Spider-Man to experiment with, and only time will reveal if he can match the prowess of Spider-Man from Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls.
