During an interview with The Backstage Experience, host Dave Morales attempted to reference the Jean Grey rumors in a lighthearted manner. He asked, “So, let’s pretend here: if I walked into a store and bought some jeans. Grey, for instance.”
Sink immediately recognized the joke and responded with a smile, “Hmm. And what about them?” Morales laughed before replying, “What a great answer. Okay, that was actually perfect.”
While the actress refused to confirm or deny the reports, she admitted that she has been following the online discussion surrounding her casting. Speaking about the fan reaction, Sink said, “Um, so it’s been amazing to kind of and overwhelming to see all the theories and Yeah.”
The interview is the latest in a series of appearances where Sink has carefully avoided revealing her role in the film. She previously addressed the rumors in a video shared by the official Spider-Man movie account on X.
The actors jokingly offered “three exclusive confirmed answers.” Sink added, “I can confirm I’m not Spider-Man. Second, I can confirm I am not Aunt May. And third, I can definitely confirm that I am in this movie.”
