Prince William, Kate Middleton Support King Charles III After Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor Arrest
King Charles III and Queen Camilla are receiving a warm welcome in the United States.
The British monarch and his wife of 21 years arrived on April 27 to commemorate 250 years since the United States declared its independence from Great Britain.
Upon landing at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, the couple was greeted with flowers by children from British military families stationed in the U.S. The royal couple then traveled to Washington D.C., where they were welcomed by President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.
After taking photos in front of the White House, the leaders went inside for a private tea. Later in the day, Charles and Camilla are scheduled to tour the White House beehives and attend a garden party at the residence of the British Ambassador to the U.S.
A full ceremonial welcome for the King and Queen is set for April 28 at the White House.
Buckingham Palace confirmed in late March that King Charles—father to Prince William and Prince Harry—and Queen Camilla would be visiting before heading to the British territory of Bermuda.
