Janelle Brown Raises Concerns About Kody Brown’s Financial Management

Expressing her frustrations regarding the family’s struggle to settle debts on Coyote Pass, Janelle openly questioned Kody’s financial priorities. She noted that while he insisted he had “all these other debts,” she observed him acquiring various assets such as trailers and sophisticated home décor. Janelle pointed out, “I see all the art on their walls,” referring specifically to the home of Robyn and Kody. “I notice all these items, and that’s fine; I also have money that I’ve invested in things,” she remarked. Kody, defending himself, stated that a significant portion of his funds went towards purchasing vehicles, claiming he essentially had “a fleet” and covering insurance for his children.

While Janelle admitted she was uncertain about how Kody and Robyn managed their finances, she was consistently surprised by the luxurious state of Robyn’s backyard, which she described as “completely finished.” Janelle recalled, “There was always stuff at her house, and I thought, ‘Wow. Huh.'” This observation left her pondering the financial choices made within the family.

Ultimately, Janelle expressed her disappointment, stating, “He doesn’t prioritize what I need or what I want.” This ongoing issue took a toll on her emotions over time. “I think after a while, I began to notice it more clearly, and my children became very upset about it, particularly my adult children. They would say, ‘What the hell, Mom?'”

In contrast, Robyn shared her perspective on financial management, emphasizing her careful approach after experiencing the fallout from her first marriage. “I used to be not so great with money,” she revealed during the episode aired on September 22. “Through hard knocks in my youth and the lessons learned during my divorce, I truly understood how to budget myself effectively.” Addressing her fellow sister wives, Robyn noted, “It seems you must have had different priorities regarding where your money was allocated compared to mine, and that’s perfectly fine.”
