The MobLand Season 2 trailer has landed, and fans appear ready for another round of gangster chaos. Paramount+ dropped the new footage ahead of the September 18 premiere, with Tom Hardy back as fixer Harry Da Souza. For many fans, his return remains a major reason to tune in following a rumor that he was fired.
How are fans reacting to the MobLand Season 2 trailer?
The MobLand Season 2 trailer wastes little time raising the stakes. Harry warns Conrad Harrigan that the family has entered a “death spiral,” while Conrad’s behavior threatens to tear his own operation apart.
Rivals also circle the Harrigans, with cartel boss Kat McAllister looming over the conflict and another gangster declaring that the “fairytale’s over.” Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren return as Conrad and Maeve.
Fans responding to the trailer largely shared one message: bring on Season 2. Comments included “Can’t wait!!!!!” and praise for how good the footage looks. One viewer said they loved the first season and hoped the follow-up could match it, while another reminded everyone, “Please don’t forget this is Tom Hardy’s show.” Several reactions also celebrated Hardy staying aboard after earlier reports suggested he might leave.
MobLand clearly struck a chord in its first season, and the numbers back it up. The crime drama has an 8.3/10 IMDb score from more than 118,000 ratings. The show also boasts a 77% Rotten Tomatoes critics score and a strong 67% audience rating.
Much of the buzz comes from its heavyweight cast, messy family rivalries and unapologetically wild violence. Some fans have called it the kind of dumb fun that’s hard to resist, even if others have taken aim at the storyline and accents.
Season 2 will run for 10 episodes, releasing Fridays through November 20. Alongside Hardy, Brosnan and Mirren, the returning cast includes Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon and Mandeep Dhillon, with Johnny Flynn and Janet McTeer adding new threats. Guy Ritchie remains attached to the series, which Paramount+ will premiere September 18.
