MobLand’s Harrigan Family Tree in Guy Ritchie’s Gangster Series

Guy Ritchie’s MobLand returns for Season 2, and the Harrigans are as chaotic as ever. The series follows the Irish crime family in modern-day London as they strive to expand their criminal empire while navigating the power struggles and infighting that come with being a successful mafia family. The family is led by Conrad (Pierce Brosnan) and Maeve Harrigan (Helen Mirren), with each family member playing a unique role in the business.

However, following the events of Season 1, the family is turning against one another, with each of the Harrigan children seeking power; it’s only a matter of time before the once-powerful Harrigans collapse. Additionally, with Eddie (Anson Boon) and Gina (Teddie Allen) becoming more serious, the intertwining of the Da Souzas and the Harrigans adds further complications for Harry (Tom Hardy) to resolve.

Conrad is the mastermind behind the Harrigan enterprise, primarily steering the ship through London’s criminal underworld. Most of the time, Conrad presents himself as thoughtful and strategic, which has contributed to his significant success in maintaining the family’s grip on the drug and gun trade. However, he occasionally exhibits unpredictable behavior, leading to outbursts of rage and violence. While the family looks to Conrad’s leadership, he often seeks guidance from his wife Maeve on pressing matters, revealing a hint of self-doubt that Maeve may exploit.

While Conrad obviously sits at the head of the table, his wife Maeve has significant influence over all matters related to the Harrigan business. It’s clear that Maeve has her own game of chess, which she orchestrates behind closed doors with Eddie, establishing her as a formidable player in the family. A chaotic character, Maeve is as significant a player as Conrad but far more unpredictable. After all, Maeve was behind the gang war in Season 1, so who’s to say she won’t lead the family into more trouble in Season 2?

Although not blood-related, Harry Da Souza serves as the fixer for the Harrigan family, handling all their dirty work — including covering up murders, managing rival mobs, and assassinating anyone who threatens the Harrigan legacy. He plays an essential role in their criminal empire’s daily operations and is central to MobLand. Harry is ruthless yet calm and collected. He always knows what to say and who to approach, ensuring he knows precisely when someone needs to be dealt with permanently. Harry is Conrad’s right-hand man, though Maeve has lost trust in him. His ties to the Harrigans have negatively impacted his personal life, leading to a separation from his wife, Jan Da Souza (Joanne Froggatt), and estrangement from his daughter, Gina.

Brendan Harrigan

Brendan (Daniel Betts) was Conrad and Maeve’s eldest son but was not actively involved in the family business. Although Brendan tried to follow in his father’s footsteps, his repeated failures led Conrad to write him off. Unfortunately, his attempts to expand the business resulted in him and his half-sister Seraphina (Mandeep Dhillon) being captured in Antwerp. With the Mexican cartel threatening their lives, Harry had to negotiate with Kat McAllister (Janet McTeer) to ensure their safe return. Sadly, he arrives too late, and Brendan is executed on live stream for the Harrigans back home, leaving only Seraphina alive.

Kevin Harrigan

Kevin Harrigan (Paddy Considine) is Conrad and Maeve’s second son (and only living one). Unlike his older brother, Kevin plays a significant role in his family’s criminal operations, but his approach is not nearly as ruthless as that of his parents. He shares a close bond with Harry, whom he met during incarceration, and aims to take over his father’s business. Married to Bella Harrigan (Lara Pulver), they have a son named Eddie — or so we thought until MobLand delivered another twist in Season 1.

Bella Harrigan comes from a politically influential family but was raised in an abusive environment where her father assaulted her. Later on, she met Conrad Harrigan and began an affair with him until Maeve found out about it. Conrad then introduced Bella to Kevin, and they got married. The twist of Season 1 revealed that although Conrad and Bella’s affair might have ended, it resulted in Eddie being actually Conrad’s son and Kevin’s half-brother. With her marriage to Kevin strained and Eddie’s parentage exposed, Bella remains an unpredictable element within the family but is still protected by both Conrad and Kevin.

Eddie Harrigan

While it initially appeared that Eddie Harrigan was merely Kevin and Bella’s wayward son, we quickly learn that his killing of Tommy Stevenson (Felix Edwards) was orchestrated by Maeve. After discovering that Conrad is his father and Kevin is biologically his half-brother, Eddie becomes completely alienated from his parents. Although he is still being groomed by Maeve as the heir apparent, he has also begun operating independently by striking deals with Gina against YouTubers for extortion.

Seraphina Harrigan

Seraphina is Conrad’s illegitimate daughter born from an affair he had with a dancer. Maeve openly despises Seraphina and often publicly refers to her as a mistake. Unfortunately for Maeve, Seraphina is clearly favored by Conrad as he openly shows love and appreciation for her. While Seraphina also works within the family business, her experience in Antwerp has left her shaken. Season Two suggests she may now be vying for her father’s crown as she engages with Kat McAllister.
