Musicians Are “Tricky Motherf–kers,” Says Dakota Johnson

Dakota Johnson has not distanced herself from dating musicians.

The Verity actress, who was recently seen with Machine Gun Kelly after her breakups with Role Model and Chris Martin, humorously shared her relationship preferences while giving a glimpse into her romantic life.

Initially, in an interview with Vogue published on September 18, she stated, “I don’t want to say anything about that” when asked about her current love life. However, Johnson—who directed Coldplay‘s 2020 music video for “Cry Cry Cry” during her relationship with Martin—showed interest in directing more music videos in the future.

When the interviewer pointed out that she knows many musicians, the Fifty Shades star admitted there is a mutual attraction between her and rock stars.

“They like me,” she joked. “I don’t know what to say.”

After a brief pause, Johnson added, “And I like them.”

When the interviewer then asked, “What’s not to like?” the 36-year-old responded with an even wittier remark.

“A lot! A lot,” Johnson laughed. “Tricky motherf–kers.”
