Myspace Relaunches Without Tom Anderson Involved

Prepare to once again select your Top 8—and one of them better be Tom.

More than 20 years after the launch of Myspace, which made and broke friendships while allowing users to showcase their music preferences, the platform’s owners Chris Vanderhook and Tim Vanderhook have confirmed plans to relaunch it.

“We still own Myspace,” Tim stated in Tommy Avallone’s new documentary, Myspace, as reported by People. “We are stewards of the Myspace brand at this point, and we are going to relaunch Myspace. We’re just waiting for the right time to do it. And if that one doesn’t work, we’ll do it again.”

After all, Myspace never truly disappeared, and over the years, various owners have attempted to revitalize and relaunch the platform to its former glory—including Chris and Tim.

In fact, when the duo acquired Myspace in 2011, they dedicated two years to planning a complete redesign that was primarily music-focused, although it failed to resonate with users.
