The R-rated drama film Daddio, featuring BAFTA nominee Dakota Johnson and Academy Award winner Sean Penn, has officially found a new streaming home on Hulu. As of today, the film is now available for streaming on Hulu.

Daddio was both written and directed by Christy Hall. In this film, Johnson portrays a young woman named Girlie, who unexpectedly connects with her cab driver during a meaningful conversation. After its world premiere at the 2023 Telluride Film Festival, the movie has maintained a Certified Fresh score of 75% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 114 reviews. Its Popcornmeter score is slightly higher at 89%.

Johnson’s latest acting credit was in A24’s romantic comedy Materialists, which also starred Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal. She will next appear in the upcoming adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s thriller novel Verity, alongside Anne Hathaway and Josh Hartnett. Meanwhile, Penn recently won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in 2025’s One Battle After Another.
