However, the iconic frontman has recently announced his plans to move away from this vibrant lifestyle. Now at the age of 76, Osbourne has confronted a myriad of health issues over the years. He is set to officially conclude his performing career at Back to the Beginning, a star-studded farewell event for Black Sabbath, scheduled for July 5 in Birmingham, England. As he prepares to bid farewell to touring, he is also embracing a new chapter away from his past ways of living.

“It is time,” the legendary singer candidly shared with The Guardian. “I have spent approximately 50 years on the road, and I’ve gradually gotten used to not having to pack my bags and board the bus again. I no longer indulge in drugs or partake in the typical rock star lifestyle. Now, I consider myself more of a homebody. I hardly go out; I avoid bars, and I don’t drink. So, what is left for me in the outside world?”

Osbourne candidly admitted that certain aspects of a quieter life in retirement do not appeal to him. “I absolutely despise going shopping with my wife,” he declared. “I feel like I might stab myself in the neck after just half an hour of it.” Despite these minor grievances, the groundbreaking vocalist has more significant priorities in mind as he contemplates a future beyond the rock scene.

“It’s essential for me to spend quality time with my grandkids,” Ozzy expressed. “I don’t want to perish in a hotel room somewhere. I aspire to spend the remainder of my life surrounded by my family.”

I don’t want anyone to feel like they’re being shortchanged, as it will merely be … what’s the word? … a sampling,” Osbourne clarified. “Attendees can expect a few songs each from both myself and Black Sabbath.”
