Now that Spider-Noir has premiered on Prime Video, will there be another season? Despite Nicolas Cage‘s concerning comments, Spider-Noir Season 2 seems likely to happen.
During an interview with Variety, Cage spoke about his new superhero show and whether it would return for another season. “I do not know,” Cage said. “But I would say that whether it happens or not, all of us achieved what we set out to do, and it works on its own. We’ll see what happens.”
Judging by Cage’s comments, he’s unsure if Spider-Noir Season 2 will happen. However, the series is set up for more adventures in future seasons.

At the end of Season 1, Ben Reilly (Cage) administers the last antidote to Flint Marko (Jack Huston). By doing so, Ben sacrifices his chance at becoming human again and his life with Cat. Having now fully embraced the Spider persona, Ben and Janet (Karen Rodriguez) open a private investigator firm.
Season 2 could continue the adventures of Ben Reilly and his firm as they tackle a new case. The show could also bring back some of the show’s central characters — including Cage, Rodriguez, and Lamorne Morris‘ Robbie — and introduce new ones centered around a different case. The formula could repeat in future seasons.
Ultimately, the future of Spider-Noir will come down to actors’ schedules and viewership. Cage has to be available to do it, and since he didn’t close the door on Season 2, it looks like he will be.
As for viewership, Spider-Noir is currently the No. 1 show on Prime Video. It will be interesting to see if the show charts on Nielsen when those rankings are released. If so, that only strengthens the argument for a second season.
As for the rest of the creatives, it sounds like they’d be interested in making more seasons of Spider-Noir. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller said they would be “happy to do more” seasons, while showrunner Oren Uziel designed the show to have multiple seasons with new cases.
