Fans of Stray Kids are recognized as the happiest within the music community. With the launch of their mini album THIS & THAT, their STAYS are expected to be filled with excitement.
The eight-track collection was released at midnight and begins with the powerful digital single “RUN IT,” crafted by the group’s production team 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Changbin, and HAN).
Debuting in June this year, the song “tells a story of growth from humble beginnings to a journey that expands from ‘Seoul to the world,’” according to a statement from the K-pop group. “It expresses our determination to overcome challenges and limitations and ultimately move forward to victory.”
It’s fair to say that those challenges and limitations have been decisively overcome. Numerous records have been shattered along the way.
All eight of the group’s entries on the Billboard 200 chart have debuted at No. 1, starting with the mini-album ODDINARY in 2022. In 2024, when HOP debuted at the top, Stray Kids became the first act in the 69-year history of the chart to debut at No. 1 with their first six entries. They have continued this achievement with chart-topping entries for KARMA and DO IT.
Having maintained this impressive streak, their trophy collection is remarkably full. Throughout their journey, they have received Top K-Pop Album at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards, Group of the Year at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards, and K-Pop Album of the Year at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Following the release of their 2025 mixtape SKZ IT TAPE DO IT, Stray Kids became the K-pop artist with the most RIAA Gold album certifications in history.
A new world tour is currently underway, which will see them become the first K-pop act to perform at and headline the Rock in Rio Brazil festival next month.
Hold on, there’s more.
This year, the South Korean boy band launched STRAYCITY, a series of live performances across Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico that complements their appearance at Rock in Rio. The tour is set to kick off on September 9 at Vive Claro Distrito Cultural in Bogotá and conclude on September 25 at Mexico City’s renowned Estadio GNP Seguros.
For Stray Kids’ fanbase, it’s all positive news. A recent study published by The Action Network identified them as having “the happiest” followers online, leading by a three-point margin based on over 1.5 million comments across 106 music subreddits.
