Superhero Show Highlights Prime Video Releases This Week

Amazon Prime Video’s TV and movie release schedule for May 25 to 31, 2026 features a highly anticipated superhero series.

The debut season of Spider-Noir will arrive on the platform this week. It follows Ben Reilly, played by Nicolas Cage, an aging, down-on-his-luck private investigator and superhero in 1930s New York City. His life turns upside down as he grapples with his past. Cage notably voiced the character in the Spider-Verse films.

As part of a unique release strategy, the upcoming show will be available to watch online in both color and black-and-white. Prime Video released trailers in both variants, allowing fans to choose how they’d like to consume the series. It is set to comprise eight episodes.

Additionally, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom arrives on the streaming giant. The 2023 DC superhero film showcases the titular lead, played by Jason Momoa, teaming up with his half-brother to crush Black Manta’s destructive plans. This is the second solo Aquaman film, which came out five years after the first movie.

Furthermore, key sporting events are set to stream live on Amazon Prime Video this week, including WNBA, NWSL, and NASCAR. A New York Yankees game is also among this week’s live fixtures on the platform, as the teams take on the Kansas City Royals.
