Verity Movie Features Alex Cooper as Herself in Colleen Hoover Adaptation
First Look at Verity’s Anne Hathaway and Josh Hartnett on Set of Colleen Hoover Movie
Alex Cooper is heading to the big screen.
The Call Her Daddy podcast host is adding another gig to her resume, with a role in the movie adaptation of Colleen Hoover‘s book Verity.
A first look of the film was revealed at CinemaCon on April 15, showing Cooper interviewing fictional author Verity Crawford (Anne Hathaway), according to Deadline.
And though the 31-year-old will be playing herself in the upcoming drama, the role does mark her acting debut.
In Verity, author Lowen Ashleigh (Dakota Johnson) is tasked with taking over the manuscript of Verity’s next book after she’s involved in an accident.
But things take a dark turn in the teaser when Lowen notices Verity watching her through the windows while she’s staying at her house, leading to hallucinations of their characters kissing and an emotional moment where Lowen tries to escape the home, per Deadline.
Verity—which is set to premiere on Oct. 2—is not the only topic that has put Cooper in the news this week.
