Hudson Williams of Heated Rivalry Makes Red Carpet Debut With Girlfriend at Vanity Fair Oscars Party
Fans of Heated Rivalry are not being left out.
Creator Jacob Tierney shared some behind-the-scenes insights about season two, which is set to film this summer and premiere in April 2027.
During a conversation with Heated Rivalry author Rachel Reid at BookCon 2026 in New York City, Tierney discussed how he is adapting the 2022 sequel The Long Game into season two, incorporating elements from her 2021 novel Role Model.
This adaptation will introduce new characters such as Troy Barrett, who joins the Ottawa Centaurs alongside Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie) and builds a relationship with Harris Drover, the hockey team’s social media manager, as their story takes center stage in Role Model.
“There is an easy, simplistic way of interpreting Role Model,” Tierney remarked at the event, as reported by Entertainment Weekly. “It’s very ‘grumpy sunshine.’ It’s very ‘apple orchard.’ It can lead into themes that you desire, but Troy is a really troubled individual. And Troy is quite damaged in the show. I would say we’re exploring that even more deeply.”
